Maurkell Burnley of the Jefferson City Jays signed a letter of intent to play College football at Ft. Scott Community College. Maurkell played offensive lineman for the Jays. Maurkell's parents are Maurice and Sheron Burnley

Austin Holland of the Jefferson City Football team signed a Letter of Intent to play College Football at Central Methodist University! Austin was all District Linebacker for the Jays.

This week Travis Burris went to Lawson Elementary and delivered tickets to Mr. Warren Dey and his 5th Grade Physical Education Class. “Mr. Dey was my Physical education teacher and also my 5th grade flag football coach. Coach Dey made class and practices fun and helped me to love the game of football! I really appreciate Coach Dey and how he helped me!” said Travis Burris. Mr. Warren Dey teaches Physical Education at Lawson Elementary. This week Jake Pridgin went to Thomas Jefferson Middle School and delivered tickets to Mrs. Megan McReynolds and her 8th Grade Class. “Mrs. McReynolds always talked sports with me and used sports to help motivate me to be a better student. I really appreciate how she helped me, said Jake Pridgin. Mrs. Megan McReynolds teaches 8th Grade at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Jefferson City Football has a tradition each year where Senior football players are given the opportunity to nominate their Grade School teacher who made a difference in their lives and present them with tickets to a home game. 
This week Tanner Jenkins went to West Elementary and delivered tickets to Mrs. Lynne Brooks and her 4th Grade Class. “Mrs. Brooks was the best teacher I have had and she was my favorite teacher. I really enjoyed her class.” said Tanner Jenkins. Mrs. Lynne Brooks teaches 4th Grade at West Elementary. Jefferson City football would like to Thank Mrs. Lynne Brooks, Principal Mrs. Brandi Fatherley and the 4th Grade class from West Elementary.

This week Darryl Williams went to Thorpe Gordon Grade School and delivered 

tickets to Mrs. Natalie Altheuser and her 4th Grade Class. “Mrs. Altheuser was 

the best teacher I have ever had in my school career. She also played dodge ball 

with us and you won’t have too many teachers who will do that with kids! My 

experiences with Mrs. Altheurser both on the playground and in the classroom 

made me realize she cared about me,” said Darryl Williams. Mrs. Natalie Altheuser 

teaches 4th Grade at Thorpe Gordon Grade School. Jefferson City Football would like to thank Mrs. Natalie Altheuser,

I appreciate Mrs. Thompson.” said Paul Harris. Mrs. Gwen Thompson teaches 5th Grade at South Elementary.
